The Motor Grader Operator Rough operates a Motor Grader, used to grade excavation and embankment and to lay asphalt, base, and other materials. This role may blade haul roads and perform other general motor grader work, but does not perform finish grade work to close specification tolerances. This operator may be in the first phase of learning motor grader work skills. The operator may oil, grease, service, and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed to enhance company operations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Operates Motor Grader, which is used to grade excavation and embankment and to lay asphalt, base and other materials.
May blade haul roads and do other general motor grader work, but does not perform finish grade work to close specification tolerances.
May oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
