Webber, part of Ferrovial Construction, is hiring a Motor Grade Operator to perform finish-grade work on new roads and highways. The operator uses motor graders, some equipped with GPS and laser-controlled grading systems, to meet blue-top or other close specification controls. Work is subject to strict inspection and must closely conform to specifications. The role also includes maintaining the grader, following safety policies, reporting unsafe activities, and contributing to team and company goals. Other duties may be assigned. The position involves heavy physical activity at outdoor construction sites, including changing weather conditions, extreme cold and heat, wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, elevated or precarious locations, and usually loud noise. Employees must be able to move around a jobsite, negotiate minor obstacles, climb ladders and inclines, operate heavy equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Selected candidates for field positions must pass a drug screen and medical exam; some positions may also require a background check.
