About The Position

Fox News Media is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to create original designs and animations for programming across Fox News Channel, Fox Business, Fox Weather, and Fox Nation. The role involves owning the full design process, from research and original logo design through storyboarding and animation execution. The designer should be highly conceptual and able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. This is a full-time, project-based role expected to continue until approximately June 2027. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience; a degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience, with a portfolio demonstrating a lead or independent creative role.
• Mastery of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Proven experience with Cinema 4D or Maya.
• Love of logo design and typography.
• Demonstrated understanding of design principles, composition, and color theory.
• Refined sense of motion and animation, particularly in typography and logo usage.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to find simple solutions, meet tight deadlines, and balance multiple concurrent projects.
• Knowledge of current design trends, history, and techniques that can help elevate the brand.
• A portfolio link must be submitted.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Vizrt or Unreal.
• UI/UX experience.
• Broadcast news experience.

Responsibilities

• Design show opens, segment bumps, transitions, and set elements from scratch for news and entertainment programming.
• Produce key art and style frames using original artwork, photography, and library images to reflect each project’s editorial and creative tone.
• Pitch designs for new show packages and redesigns; storyboard concepts and present work in a group environment.
• Collaborate with other designers on cohesive graphics packages for print campaigns, set and scenic mockups, digital toolkits, and internal company presentations.
• Work with art directors, the creative director, and department management to align work with network and show identity and editorial guidelines.
• Use techniques and treatments suited to each project’s theme and tone.
• Ensure work meets technical requirements and file organization standards.
• Handle same-day requests while balancing assignments with longer deadlines.
