About The Position

As a member of the Gameloft Creative Agency, the Motion Designer will report to the 2D Motion Lead and collaborate closely with the Marketing and User Acquisition Team. The primary responsibility will be to create captivating video content, including trailers for various marketing purposes, to be published across platforms such as Google Play, App Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, PlayStation®, Nintendo, and Xbox. Additionally, the role involves producing video ads tailored for different performance channels, including Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok, YouTube, and more. The artist will be creating video content for different games, each with its distinct visual and communication style, always with the goal of engaging users and encouraging them to download the game.

Requirements

  • A strong sense of creativity and innovation.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in video content creation.
  • Extensive experience with video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design, particularly using Adobe software like Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Ability to independently manage the entire creative process, from asset preparation to final delivery, while adhering to a creative brief.
  • Capability to juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong artistic sensibilities, a keen eye for detail and a passion for constantly innovating and exploring new techniques.
  • A willingness to learn about game-engine content manipulation (Unity in-house training).
  • An online portfolio and/or demo reel, which must be included with your application.

Nice To Haves

  • Passion and experience working in video games.
  • Previous experience with 3D applications (3ds Max, Blender, Maya, etc.).
  • Previous experience working with these engines: Unity, Unreal Engine.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality video content to enhance marketing efforts and attract new, engaged users for our games.
  • Take full ownership of the video production process, from concept development to final delivery.
  • Capture engaging in-game footage directly from the game engine or game build.
  • Adapt videos into various formats, ensuring optimization for different platforms and distribution channels. Manage video compression, encoding, and formatting standards for web, social media, and other platforms.
  • Enhance overall video quality by incorporating sound effects, music, text, graphics, and other elements.
  • Incorporate client feedback (lead / internal teams / licensor) and ensure revisions are completed on spec and on time.
  • Adapt quickly to feedback from stakeholders, including marketing, legal, and licensing teams, ensuring the final product aligns with requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and consistently contribute fresh, creative ideas.
  • Provide input into the creative direction for video content, shaping the overall narrative and tone of marketing videos.
  • Learn and adhere to artistic, IP, and licensing guidelines.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all video materials, maintaining a cohesive visual and narrative style across campaigns and platforms.
  • Manage and maintain a video asset library, organizing raw footage, edited videos, and assets for easy access and future use.
  • Monitor the performance of video ads and collaborate with internal teams to improve results by providing insights and recommendations.
  • Use creativity and innovation to propose new ideas and formats to elevate video production.
  • Offer creative suggestions for video projects, focusing on visual storytelling, pacing, and overall design.
  • Keep up with trends in gaming and video platforms, applying relevant innovations to content creation.
