Savannah Ghost Pirates Motion Design Internship 2026-2027 Season
About The Position
The Ghost Pirates are seeking a creative, motivated, and passionate Motion Design Intern for the 2026-27 season. This hands-on opportunity provides valuable experience within a premier ECHL hockey organization and is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a portfolio in sports media, motion graphics, video/photo production, and digital content creation. All applications will be kept on file until the start of the internship program for which candidates apply. The Motion Design Intern will work closely with the Marketing, Game Presentation, and Creative Services teams to create engaging motion content that enhances the Ghost Pirates brand and fan experience. This role will assist in producing motion graphics, video board content, social media animations, and digital assets used throughout the season. From game nights and community events to digital campaigns and special promotions, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in sports marketing, motion design, animation, and digital content creation.
Requirements
- Experience in motion design, animation, video editing, or digital media
- A portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, animation, video editing, or related work
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of animation principles and digital content trends
- Excellent attention to detail and visual storytelling abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate as part of a team
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Motion Design, Animation, Digital Media, Video Production, or a related field
- Housing and transportation in Savannah or the surrounding area
- Availability to work home games, select road games, and designated office hours
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects and Premiere Pro
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality creative standards
Responsibilities
- Creating motion graphics for social media, website content, email marketing, and game-day promotions
- Assisting with animated content and digital displays for game presentations
- Creating motion video board content for themed games
- Editing and animating video content for digital and in-arena use
- Supporting content planning and execution across digital platforms
- Organizing and maintaining digital media assets
- Assisting with live event production and game-day entertainment elements
- Collaborating with staff to ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity
- Assisting with live game coverage on social media
- Other duties as assigned
