About The Position

As a Mortgage Processor I, you will perform all administrative tasks for mortgage loan processing. You will be responsible for the loan process by verifying information in all loan files, ordering documents needed to complete the files, updating information on the computer system, collaborating with Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) to provide a seamless delivery to the member/borrower and communicates with the member/borrower to expedite loan approvals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' loan processing experience in the financial industry or related field.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative tasks for mortgage loan processing.
  • Collects and prepares necessary information such as loan applications, credit documents, and appraisals to process and complete mortgage loan files.
  • Verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Updates verified information into computer system(s).
  • Orders appraisals, surveys, flood certifications, title commitments, and other required documentation.
  • Prepares verification forms for income, deposits and rent for mail, fax or telephone as requested.
  • Updates computer system based on loan decision made by underwriter.
  • Prepares commitment letters or adverse action letters as needed.
  • Receives and follows up on outstanding documentation.
  • Upon receipt of sufficient information to make a loan decision, assembles, updates and analyzes data in a timely manner for loan underwriter review.
  • Interacts with members to answer questions on loan qualification process, sets appointments with loan officer, and promotes all services available at the company.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
