About The Position

Tomo is expanding its mortgage operations team and is looking for a leader to drive success as a Processing Manager. This role involves overseeing a team of Mortgage Loan Processors, ensuring accuracy and compliance in loan applications, and fostering a customer-centric culture. It is a hands-on management position where the manager will lead and perform tasks alongside the team. The leadership will be crucial for achieving on-time closings and delivering an exceptional client experience. The company is seeking a strong, action-oriented leader who drives outcomes.

  • Experience in managing mortgage loan processing teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, specifically with purchase transactions
  • 1-2 years of experience managing a mortgage loan processing team
  • Experience with Byte Pro or Encompass software

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately 10+ Mortgage Loan Processors.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex issues.
  • Ensure high performance and professional growth within the team.
  • Oversee company pipeline to ensure the team adheres to SLAs.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure quality submissions to Underwriting.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups to prevent bottlenecks in the process.
  • Coordinate successful closings on time.
  • Train the team on customer service skills for written and verbal communications with agents, customers, and internal teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the mortgage processing team.
  • Provide input to the product development team for Loan Origination System (LOS) modernization.
  • Work cross-functionally to grow the team, actively participating in interviewing and hiring top talent.
