About The Position

This position may be located in Harrisburg, York, Lancaster or Towson. Perform a variety of duties associated with generating mortgage loans; contact realtors, developers, and contractors regarding institution mortgage programs; counsel prospective mortgage customers; take applications; prepare appropriate documentation; make recommendations on mortgage loans; communicate decision to the mortgage customer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years loan experience
• Proficient reading, verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient mathematical skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Proficient problem solving skills
• Proficient decision making skills
• Proficient interpersonal relations skills
• Self-starter showing initiative
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Strong working knowledge of mortgage underwriting
• Strong working knowledge of loan documentation
• Strong working knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines
• Strong working knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending and residential mortgage processing
• Strong working knowledge of closing procedures
• Strong working knowledge of appraisals and contracts
• Strong working knowledge of features and benefits of Bank loan products and services

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred
• Prior advanced banking training through AIB, PB, ABA, etc. preferred
