About The Position

As a Closer III, you will prepare all closing documents in compliance with all federal and state requirements and ensure all required documentation per investor guidelines/regulations for each specific loan product is contained in the closing documents. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including providing assistance to coworkers with difficult internal problems, customer inquiries or problems, and maintain a high level of loan quality evidenced by Suspense and QC audit. Additionally, you will perform special projects and other duties as assigned, you may lead, direct, or train new closers and act as point of contact for closing department. You are expected to build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates, and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent required.
5+ years mortgage loan closing experience.
5+ years of experience with high volume and complex loans.
5+ years of experience using mortgage software.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or higher.
4+ years of mortgage loan closing experience or equivalent experience in mortgage closing procedures and policies.
5+ years of Encompass mortgage software experience.
