The Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager is responsible for leading our mortgage and consumer loan servicing teams. In this role, you will provide daily direction, coaching, and support to a team of Loan Servicers while ensuring all servicing workflows are completed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and investor requirements. You will serve as the organization’s primary subject matter expert for mortgage and consumer loan servicing, overseeing critical functions such as loan boarding, payment processing, escrow administration, investor remittance, reconciliation, and servicing reporting. This position plays a key role in maintaining loan data integrity, strengthening internal controls, and reducing operational, regulatory, and reputational risk. You will manage servicing guidelines and procedures, partner with internal departments and vendors on new products and system enhancements, and lead issue resolution and process improvements. Responsibilities also include executing servicing events, administering escrow accounts, monitoring insurance and PMI, supporting audits and exams, and ensuring all servicing activities meet timing, accuracy, and documentation standards. Broad servicing expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and workflow optimization are needed in this position. This position will also set clear expectations, develop staff capabilities, and foster a high‑performance environment focused on accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or 5+ years of comparable mortgage servicing experience.
  • Management experience with proven ability to lead, coach, set expectations, drive accountability, and develop a high-performing, service-oriented team.
  • Broad knowledge of servicing regulations and investor guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/VA.
  • Understanding of compliance; advanced knowledge of state and federal banking regulations preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment; demonstrates professionalism, tact, and effective presentation, writing, and listening skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, handle interruptions, solve complex problems, think critically, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Technical proficiency with core banking systems, specialty lending software, and related equipment.
  • Strong math skills to calculate interest, proportions, percentages, rates, and ratios.
