About The Position

This role provides analytical and technical support by preparing, monitoring, and completing loan documentation for Loan Officers and other staff members. The position involves receiving complete applications, generating preliminary loan documents, reviewing underwriting requirements, and requesting necessary verifications and documents from customers. Key responsibilities include ordering title work, appraisals, and flood certifications, as well as requesting homeowner's insurance. The processor will coordinate file transitions between the Underwriter and Lender. Post-closing duties encompass funding loans, disbursing funds, recording mortgage/deed packages, and accurately uploading documents to Synergy. Additionally, the role involves completing servicing duties such as processing payoff letters, managing AFT/ACH, and performing daily maintenance. Balancing and auditing accounts are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires ensuring the accuracy of bank records by maintaining knowledge of state and federal bank regulations, as well as MBT Bank policies, for documentation, account information, and other services using current software programs. A fundamental understanding of basic underwriting guidelines and servicing duties is necessary. The role also includes inputting new account information and performing account maintenance on the database with accuracy and speed, while maintaining appropriate records. Maintaining customer files for completeness by originating, researching, and clearing ticklers is also a key function. Non-essential duties include building customer relationships by assisting with bank activities like fairs and parades, and providing additional financial services by responding to customer questions and referring them to other banking departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in the use of basic office equipment, keyboarding, O365, web-based software, banking software, and overall computer navigation.

  • Two or more years of banking experience and/or working knowledge of business office or bank functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes servicing duties including Payoff letter, AFT/ACH, daily maintenance.
  • Balancing and auditing accounts.
  • Ensures accuracy of bank records by maintaining knowledge of both state and federal bank regulations along with MBT Bank policies for the purpose of documentation, account information, and other services with current software program(s) for customer and internal customer needs.
  • Understands basic underwriting guidelines and servicing duties.
  • Inputs new account information and account maintenance on data base with accuracy and speed along with maintaining appropriate records.
  • Maintains customer files for completeness by originating, researching, and clearing ticklers.
  • Builds customer relationships by assisting in non-essential duties involving fairs, parades, and other bank activities as required.
