Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous mortgage processing experience preferred (or related banking experience)
- Understanding of mortgage loan products (Conventional, FHA/VA, USDA preferred)
- Working knowledge of mortgage regulations (RESPA, TRID, HMDA, Escrow preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Responsibilities
- Process mortgage loans from application through closing and post-settlement
- Gather, review, and track documentation to ensure complete and compliant files
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal partners on loan status
- Submit loans for underwriting and assist with clearing conditions
- Coordinate closings and prepare final settlement packages
- Review closing documents for accuracy and compliance
- Support Loan Officers in achieving loan and deposit goals
- Maintain confidentiality and deliver a strong customer experience
- Stay current on mortgage regulations, policies, and procedures
