About The Position

Through our homeownership and lending programs, we help individuals and families access the tools and resources they need to purchase and maintain a home. We're looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Loan Processor and Servicing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll help ensure that loans move smoothly from application through funding and servicing. This is a new, fixed-term position currently funded for two years.

Requirements

  • At least two years of administrative experience.
  • Experience working with databases, loan systems, or other data management platforms.
  • Experience reviewing and maintaining detailed files and documentation.
  • Familiarity with mortgage lending, loan documentation, or loan servicing.
  • Experience reviewing income, assets, credit, or collateral documentation.
  • Strong data entry, recordkeeping, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in loan processing or loan servicing is preferred.
  • An associate degree or coursework in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the processing, funding, and servicing of residential mortgage and silent second loans through DevNW's Wildfire, Down Payment Assistance, and Amplify Oregon Mortgage programs.
  • Review loan files to make sure they are complete, accurate, and meet program requirements.
  • Collect and verify borrower and loan information.
  • Identify missing or incorrect information and follow up as needed.
  • Support Loan Officers and Mortgage Loan Originators throughout the loan process.
  • Order and coordinate third-party services, such as appraisals and employment verifications.
  • Enter and maintain loan information in loan servicing systems.
  • Manage loan documentation, payment information, escrow records, payoffs, and borrower correspondence.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in loan and servicing records.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical files.
  • Support quality control reviews, audits, and other compliance activities.
  • Work closely with Finance, Underwriting, program staff, and other internal teams.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of borrower information.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Homeownership team.
