About The Position

The officer will deepen client relationships by collaborating with peers across banking, lending, and investing to assist with short- and long-term financial goals. The role requires proactively identifying, building, and maintaining a quality network of business relationships (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts) for new mortgage lending opportunities. Loan Officers are encouraged to participate in business development, community efforts to promote home ownership, and professional organizations. Key responsibilities include interviewing customers to determine loan needs, advising on products, terms, and pricing, gathering required information, generating complete mortgage applications, ensuring policy adherence, and meeting sales goals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales
  • Two plus years of retail residential mortgage sales experience
  • Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months of $8 million (minimum)
  • Established relationships with local referral networks
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a broad range of audiences
  • Strong computer skills and experience using laptop technology
  • Successful candidate must meet and follow all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLS.

  • Interview new and existing customers to determine their loan needs and advising those customers of appropriate products, terms, and pricing.
  • Gather any additional required information for mortgage applications.
  • Generate complete mortgage applications, ensuring appropriate procedures and policies are followed.
