About The Position

The Mortgage Accounting Specialist will be responsible to complete a broad range of complex funding, operational processing and customer service-related issues. As our Mortgage Accounting Specialist, you will resolve unusual issues while investigating their source to minimize or eliminate future occurrences. You will ensure required accounting and internal/external regulatory processes are adhered to and required reporting is completed efficiently and accurately with proper documentation for review on a timely basis. You will also maintain appropriate records of activity and assist in development and maintenance of procedural manuals and/or updates to mainframe funding system.

Requirements

• Funding experience as well as knowledge of Mortgage systems
• Bank, mortgage business, mortgage systems related experience or equivalent
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, related field or equivalent experience
• Communications, organizational, analytical, administrative, problem-solving, project management and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent HSBC systems and software
• Ability to meet deadlines and objectives independently and within the team
