Montessori Toddler Assistant Teacher
About The Position
Peak Avenue Montessori in Morgan Hill is seeking passionate Toddler Assistant Teachers for their nurturing, Montessori environment. The school is designed to support each child’s natural curiosity, independence, and emotional growth. Peak Ave believes in creating a loving and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. Their fully implemented Montessori programs foster independence, creativity, and strong social connections. The Toddler program (Pre Primary Community) supports 12 children with 2 teachers, consisting of a full-time Lead Teacher and 1 Assistant Teacher.
Requirements
- Experience or a strong desire to work with toddlers.
- Eagerness to learn and grow as educators.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, supportive team.
- Interest in exploring Montessori education and philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating a loving and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.
- Foster independence, creativity, and strong social connections through Montessori principles.
- Engage in hands-on learning experiences such as gardening, cooking, art, and STEM activities with children.
- Build strong connections with children and families.
