About The Position

Saint Vincent de Paul School is currently seeking to hire an aide for our Montessori classroom for the 2026-2027 School year starting in August. The Aide is a qualified professional who meets the requirements to work in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Denver. The Teacher Aide is hired by and directly accountable to the principal to assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational support, personal assistance, and guidance for students. Daily tasks are communicated by the assigned teacher(s). Medical/dental/vision benefits are provided. Requirements

Requires a minimum of a high school diploma and experience working with children
Compliance with Safe Environment requirements.
Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043);
Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals;
Effective supervisory skills;
Aptitude for the work to be performed
High interest in children, their growth, development, and education
Desire to assist students with diverse needs in a learning environment
Emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved
Effective listening and verbal communication skills;
Must work cooperatively with school staff and administration;
Sound judgment and decision-making skills;
Knowledge of and willingness to implement safety and emergency procedures.

Nice To Haves

Training in Montessori or experience working in Montessori environment is preferred

Responsibilities

Works with individual students or small groups of students to practice and reinforce learning of the materials or skills initially introduced and outlined by classroom teacher
Assists as directed by the classroom teacher in devising and/or implementing special strategies for reinforcing student learning of materials and skills
Supervises curriculum-based lessons and activities as assigned by classroom teacher
Serves as the chief source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
Performs clerical, classroom maintenance, and instructional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher
Performs assigned supervision of students during lunch periods, recess periods, and on field trips (as applicable)
Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
