About The Position
Peak Avenue Montessori is seeking passionate Infant Assistant Teachers for their Nido Community, which supports 12 children with 3 teachers. The school is dedicated to creating a nurturing, Montessori environment that fosters natural curiosity, independence, and emotional growth. They aim to provide a loving and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. The fully implemented Montessori programs focus on independence, creativity, and social connections to build confidence and a love for learning.
Requirements
- Experience or a strong desire to work with infants and toddlers.
- Eagerness to learn and grow as educators.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, supportive team.
- Interest in exploring Montessori education and philosophy.
- Comfort in caregiving tasks (changing diapers, bottle feeding, transition to solids, safe sleep practices).
- 12 ECE units (ideal).
Responsibilities
- Work with infants and toddlers in a Montessori environment.
- Provide caregiving, including changing diapers, bottle feeding, transitioning to solids, and ensuring safe sleep practices.
- Collaborate with a teaching team consisting of a Lead Teacher and other Assistant Teachers.
- Engage in hands-on learning experiences with children.
- Learn and grow as an educator within the Montessori philosophy.
