Montessori Assistant Teacher
About The Position
LePort Montessori Schools is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Teacher to join its classroom community. The Assistant Teacher works as part of a supportive team to foster a nurturing, caring, stimulating, and peaceful environment for young children. The school offers an authentic Montessori educational experience in a prepared environment, with a holistic approach that combines academics, practical life, sensorial experiences, and mixed-age groups. The role supports children's learning, development, and independence while contributing to a caring and respectful school community.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum high school diploma.
- 12 Early Childhood Education Units.
- Successfully clear a criminal background check.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Comply with all state education and licensing standards and maintain validation of credentials for the position.
- Be positive, communicate well, and be passionate about learning and child development.
