About The Position

Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. This is a remote position, but the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory (Maryland and Washington, D.C.) and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role. The Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business works together with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems, with technologies and solutions for blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise, and perioperative complications. This role drives sales growth and market share by promoting the Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions portfolio to key clinical leaders in the ICU, General Care Floors, and Procedural Sedation departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND at least 6+ years of experience OR Associate’s Degree AND at least 4+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND at least 2+ years of experience
  • Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Reside within the territory (Maryland and Washington, D.C.).
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of hospital, medical device, healthcare technology, or clinical sales experience.
  • Proven success managing an individual sales quota with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience selling into acute care environments including ICU, Med/Surg floors, procedural sedation, perioperative care, or respiratory departments.
  • Strong understanding of the hospital sales process, including navigating multiple stakeholders and clinical decision-makers.
  • Experience providing clinical education, product in-services, or customer training to healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, open new business, and grow market share within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek to develop and expand your territory via your management and selling skills.
  • Plan and execute work to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Be the product expert and provide education and training effectively to all clinical end users and hospital staff for your assigned territory.
  • Gather market intelligence (product, price, promotion, discount etc.) by observation, discussion, or research, and seek to develop new business opportunities.
  • Work individually and as part of the wider team to establish and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and prompt resolution to customer/patient technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed.
