The World Bank Group (WBG) is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to contribute to the design and implementation of results frameworks and M&E systems for the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD). The FRLD, established to assist developing countries vulnerable to climate change, operates under the guidance of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement. The World Bank serves as the interim trustee and hosts the FRLD Secretariat in Washington, D.C. The Secretariat supports the FRLD's governing bodies, manages institutional relations, aids in strategy and program development, and oversees management systems. The M&E Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of FRLD's operations through robust monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management, fostering organizational learning and disseminating best practices. This position involves collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including governments, access entities, multilateral development banks, UN agencies, climate funds, donor organizations, and civil society. The role is based in Washington, D.C., with frequent travel expected.
