The World Bank Group (WBG) is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to contribute to the design and implementation of results frameworks and M&E systems for the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD). The FRLD, established to assist developing countries vulnerable to climate change, operates under the UNFCCC's financial mechanism and is hosted by the World Bank as an interim trustee. The FRLD Secretariat, located in Washington, D.C., supports the fund's governing bodies, manages institutional relations, aids in strategy and policy development, and oversees management systems. The M&E Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of FRLD's operations through robust monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management, fostering organizational learning and disseminating best practices. This position involves collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including governments, access entities, multilateral development banks, UN agencies, climate funds, donor organizations, and civil society. The role requires a strong emphasis on knowledge management and organizational learning through the dissemination of tools, guidelines, and lessons learned.
