Monitor students in study hall/ISS; take attendance of students in study hall/ISS; assist study hall/ISS students as needed. The essential functions of this role include ensuring the safety of students, assisting administration in identifying attendance or tardiness problems, maintaining respect for confidential information, attending meetings and in-services, promoting good social relationships between students, interacting with classroom teachers and administrators, maintaining records of student behavior, instructing students on rules and consequences of study hall/in-school suspension, monitoring the hall during class changes, monitoring students in study hall/in-school suspension, taking student attendance, assisting students as needed, promoting good public relations, working with students individually and in small groups, interacting positively with staff, students, parents, and the community, and possessing knowledge of computer skills, emails, and spreadsheets. Other duties include assisting with restroom breaks/lunch, supervising general housekeeping duties, handling correspondence with administration, keeping records up-to-date, monitoring and supervising students during dismissal, distributing assigned writing material, responding to routine questions, and performing other duties as assigned by the administration. The role also serves as a role model for students.
