About The Position
Monitor Location: Murphy Elementary School Reports to: Principal Salary and terms of Employment: Anticipated Start Date: August 26, 2026 10-Month Position Daily Schedule: 10:50 A.M.-1:50 P.M. M-F (up to 15 hours per week) Range - $18.81 per hour

Responsibilities
- Actively supervise students in the cafeteria, on the playground, in the hallways, and/or other area assigned
- Promote student safety by ensuring an orderly environment in which students adhere to school regulations and expectations
- Develop positive relationships with students by recognizing appropriate behaviors and treating every student with dignity
- Address inappropriate behavior with calm verbal reminders
- Report significant or repeated misbehavior to the classroom teacher or administrator
- Report any student injuries immediately to the school nurse
- Support and communicate with other monitors and staff members
- Ensure that no child is left unsupervised
- Escort students in hallways
- Provide written reports of significant behavior issues and student injuries
