About The Position

Observes patients electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and video monitors. Alerts clinicians to any changes in patient rates, rhythms, and arrhythmia occurrences.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior relevant experience, preferred.
• Prior experience with telemetry monitoring, preferred.
• Certification in cardiac monitoring, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes patients electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and video monitors.
• Recognizes arrhythmias and obtains document strips. Reports arrhythmias to clinicians responsible for patient.
• Obtains baseline strips for all patients monitored during each shift.
• Replaces patients ECG electrode pads, wires, and batteries, as needed.
• Obtains patient EKG data, as needed.
• Regularly checks and cleans related emergency equipment.
• Performs related duties as required.
