This position is responsible for continuous observation of patients’ monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff. This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards. The Monitor Technician at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix's Progressive Care Unit is an entry-level role that provides administrative support and customer service, facilitating communication between physicians, nurses, and patients, calling in consults, and acting as a liaison with internal and external contacts.
