About The Position
The Monitor Technician is responsible for issuing telemetry units, continuously monitoring all telemetry patients, discontinuing telemetry when ordered, and completing the clerical steps involved in the telemetry process. The position includes on-the-job training and attendance at a rhythm interpretation class, with testing to verify proficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interactions with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to convey clear, concise instructions and receive information in order to understand and make decisions.
- Complete on-the-job training and attend a rhythm interpretation class, with testing to verify proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with rhythm interpretation.
