About The Position
Monitor Technicians observes cardiac monitors for rate, rhythm and dysrhythmias. Hours: 11am-11pm, weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- High School (Required)
Responsibilities
- Admits and discharges patients from the monitoring system.
- Changes alarms and limits as directed for individual patient monitoring, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Interprets strips of monitor rhythm and posts them on proper chart form.
- Notifies appropriate personnel of alarm situations and changes in rhythm.
- Orders supplies and maintenance/repairs needed for optimal service.
- Serves as a customer service representative and receptionist as needed.
- Supports relationship-based care.
