About The Position

The monitor technician is responsible for the continuous observation of cardiac rhythms and remote video observation of patients who meet remote monitoring criteria. Techs are to recognize cardiac arrhythmias, document on monitor strips, and notify the assigned RN of arrhythmia changes. Additionally, if remote video observing, the tech documents observations in the electronic health record.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months’ experience in a health-related field required.
• Must be able to successfully pass the arrhythmia identification test prior to hire, or within introductory period.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cardiac monitor tech experience preferred.
