About The Position
Observes electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor and closed-circuit television (CCTV) and alert nurses and physicians to changes in the patient’s heart rate rhythm and the occurrence of arrhythmias.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Prior experience as Telemetry Technician - REQUIRED
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Ability to operate cardiac monitors and EKG machines - REQUIRED
- Ability to communicate effectively, and follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to recognize myocardial infarction arrhythmia
- Strong quality customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to recognize normal and abnormal arrhythmias
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Medical Assistant program – HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Successful completion of Rhythm Recognition Course – PREFERRED
