Monitor Technician (Monitor Tech) – Telemetry Monitoring at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Cardiac Telemetry Examination (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • BLS (preferred)
  • SRNA, CNA, EMT, LPN or Paramedic preferred

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring.
  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, identifying and promptly reporting abnormalities
  • Interpret and document telemetry data, including arrhythmias, per facility protocols
  • Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings
  • Communicate critical changes in patient condition to nursing staff and care teams
  • Ensure accurate patient data entry and maintain clear, timely documentation
