Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program
- Passing an in-depth arrhythmia-specific test using caliper measurements and evaluation of rhythm changes over time using full disclosure.
- No previous experience is necessary.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) to two (2) years of job-related experience
- Must be able to recognize, evaluate, and interpret heart rhythm changes and perform the duties of a unit secretary.
- Computer skills/training required.
Responsibilities
- Continuous surveillance of EKG on multiple central station monitors.
- Monitors heart rhythms of patients in special care units using telemetry equipment.
- Reports any changes in EKG rate or rhythm monitoring to clinical nurse.
