Join our Telemetry team! This role is great for students, or individuals interested in heart rhythm monitoring and telemetry, offering a great teamwork environment and paid training. The Monitor Tech provides support services including basic computer keyboarding skills, preparing patient charts, coordinating with other departments for tests and procedures, and stocking supplies. The monitor tech will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting patient heart rhythms and vital signs, following set algorithm parameters that may raise alarms, and communicating appropriately when alarms are triggered. Depending on location, the monitor tech may also provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients, summoning nursing staff if assistance is needed.

Requirements

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides support services.
Performs basic computer keyboarding.
Tears down and assembles patient charts as appropriate.
Calls other departments to inform them of ordered tests and procedures as needed.
Stocks supplies.
Monitors and interprets patient heart rhythms and vital signs.
Follows set algorithm parameters that may raise alarms.
Interprets alarms and follows through with appropriate communication as needed.
Provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients (depending on location).
Summons nursing staff if the patient requires assistance (depending on location).
