About The Position
The Cardiac Monitor Tech performs cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation. They are responsible for communicating effectively and efficiently with interdisciplinary staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in healthcare field required.
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in written format.
- Must demonstrate ability to perform basic math calculations including use of decimals.
- Must be able to interact with interdisciplinary staff.
- Must have successfully completed the arrhythmias recognition course.
- Ability to communicate with healthcare providers of varying ages.
- Recognize effect of age on interpretation of EKG’s.
- Able to sit for long periods of time and maintain high state of alertness.
