Monitor Tech - Telemetry I - 3200 (Full-time: Days)
About The Position
Telemetry I/3200 is a 27-bed unit. Working on a telemetry floor presents the opportunity for all nurses to learn and understand how to identify, interpret and manage cardiac rhythms, as well as receiving continuing education on cardiac treatments, medications, and cardiac drips. In addition to cardiac patients, Telemetry I/3200 cares for pulmonary patients (pneumonia and COPD), gastrointestinal patients (gastrointestinal bleeds, small bowel obstructions), ICU step down patients (tracheostomy care, percutaneous endo-gastric tube management, total parenteral nutrition management, foley catheter management, wound care).
Requirements
- Validation of a high school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to complete a Monitor Tech Course
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates the ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently
- Must be a good multi-tasker
Nice To Haves
- Monitor Tech Experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology is preferred
