About The Position

The Monitor Tech provides continuous cardiac monitoring observation and documents cardiac rhythms on a routine basis. The role communicates significant changes in cardiac rhythm to the charge nurse and primary nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass the EKG Strip Test with a score of 85% or greater.
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of cardiac monitoring.
• Document cardiac rhythms on a routine basis.
• Communicate significant changes in cardiac rhythm to the charge nurse and primary nurse.
