About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a MongoDB Consultant for a 6-month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in New York, NY. This role will lead the administration, support, modernization, and security governance of the organization's MongoDB environment. The ideal candidate will manage self-hosted MongoDB Enterprise clusters, administer Ops Manager, drive database migration initiatives, and implement security controls aligned with industry best practices.

Requirements

5-7 years of experience in a similar role
Strong expertise in MongoDB architecture, high availability, and disaster recovery
Experience with performance tuning, automation, and database security within enterprise-scale environments

Responsibilities

Lead the administration, support, modernization, and security governance of the MongoDB environment
Manage self-hosted MongoDB Enterprise clusters
Administer MongoDB Ops Manager
Drive database migration initiatives from legacy Community Edition deployments to MongoDB Enterprise
Implement security and compliance controls aligned with industry best practices and CIS benchmark standards
Align with ongoing MongoDB upgrade, migration, Operations Manager, backup, and security initiatives
