About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Molecular Scientist with a strong background in pharmaceutical laboratory experience to join a growing team at a PSS client site. This role will involve support for programming automated liquid handling and robotic platforms to support high-throughput sample analysis in a GXP-compliant environment for clinical and bioanalytical testing. The role will include routine testing via high throughput assays such as qPCR on these automated platforms. This is a brand-new lab so flexibility in day-to-day tasks will be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences/Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of industry experience with operating and troubleshooting automated liquid handlers (Tecan, Hamilton, Biomek)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences/Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of industry experience with hands-on industry experience with PCR-based assays.
  • Master's degree in Life Sciences/Engineering with at least 6 months of industry experience with operating and troubleshooting automated liquid handlers (Tecan, Hamilton, Biomek)
  • Master's degree in Life Sciences/Engineering with at least 6 months of industry experience with hands-on industry experience with PCR-based assays.
  • Authorization to work in the country without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Ability to work safely with potentially infectious samples and hazardous chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in GLP/GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments.
  • Familiarity with LIMS and other laboratory informatics tools.
  • Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle and instrument validation.
  • Experience with ligand-binding assays and bioanalytical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to new lab setup, integrating automation into pharmaceutical workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Utilize automated liquid handlers, plate readers, Luminex, and PCR systems
  • Operate and maintain advanced robotic systems (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, Biomek) and related instruments to run routine assays
  • Perform routine cleaning, calibration, and verification of automated platforms, including daily startup/shutdown.
  • Document all activities in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and LIMS for full traceability.
  • Cross-train to support other functions such as Sample Management, Ligand-Binding Assays, PCR Assays, and Compliance.
