About The Position

The Division of Pediatric Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Pathology physician to join their expanding Division as the Director of Pediatric Molecular Pathology. This role is based in Milwaukee, WI, at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. The division is known for its nationally and internationally renowned faculty and staff dedicated to clinical care. Children's Wisconsin has prioritized precision medicine, investing in personnel, funding, and resources to expand the molecular laboratory and genetic/genomic testing across patient care areas. The position offers collaboration with a team of pediatric specialists, including seven pediatric pathologists, a hematopathologist, a neuropathologist, and two clinical PhDs. Access to the MCW Mellowes Center for Genomic Sciences and Precision Medicine is provided. Responsibilities include teaching and mentoring AP/CP residents and pediatric pathology & other pediatric specialty fellows. The role involves working within the multisite CW Laboratories, which conduct over one million tests annually, and participating in clinical, translational, or basic science research with protected time.

Requirements

  • Board certified / board eligible Pediatric Pathology physician.
  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
  • MD/DO or PhD.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Laboratory Genetics or Genomics.
  • Unrestricted State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
