About The Position
Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and gene therapy, is looking for a Molecular Biology - Associate in Pleasanton, CA. This is a long-term contract position with the possibility of extension. The role involves supporting laboratory research through molecular biology experiments and assay execution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), strong laboratory skills, and the ability to troubleshoot experiments while working in a collaborative research environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) (required).
- Experience performing molecular biology laboratory techniques and data analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular biology experiments using established laboratory protocols.
- Conduct and optimize digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) assays for nucleic acid analysis.
- Work with amino acid-related experiments and biomolecular analyses.
- Accurately document, analyze, and summarize experimental results.
- Troubleshoot experimental issues, communicate failures and lessons learned, and recommend solutions.
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely execution of laboratory work.
- Present findings and collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional research teams.
