Requirements

  • Eight years minimum Mold making experience required.
  • Must have experience in Molding /Tooling in the automotive industry.
  • Must have working knowledge of shop equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute modifications or repairs of molds within specified time schedules.
  • Organize modifications and repairs to molds and provide all information required to production departments to allow for scheduling and completion of work.
  • Understand mold specifications for T.E.A.M. and ensure they are correct and in the tool.
  • Keep an open issue list for each tool, including upgrades to be done to maintain tools in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Assist injection molding department by troubleshooting mold operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation regarding mold maintenance.
  • Check water systems and ensure circuits are operational.
  • Communicate and follow up on finished results to ensure final product meets customer specifications.
  • Support team efforts to improve quality, cost and timing of mold repairs or changes and work in a manner that contributes to meeting or exceeding departmental performance objectives.
  • Perform all work in an efficient manner and make efficient use of materials and tool room supplies and inventories.
  • Display professional conduct when dealing with all T.E.A.M. members.
  • Understanding of blueprints and drawings as related to tooling.
  • Work cross functionally within the tool room as required.
