About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of the shift operation.

Requirements

  • Must complete all safety and environmental trainings required(e.g.: Lock-out-Tag-out, HAZCOM, Blood Borne Pathogens, Sexual Harassment)
  • Basic technical knowledge of injection molding processes with machines, tooling, materials, molding techniques
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively
  • Must be able to run reports and communicate top issues
  • Must be able to do intermediate math calculations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 55lbs.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a loud environment
  • Must pass pre-employment screening

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 3 to 5 years’ experience in plastic injection molding
  • Preferred Team Lead or Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and expectations (wear required PPE, follow safety protocols are followed, and report any safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses in a timely manner)
  • Familiar with and can locate Safety Data Sheet
  • Audits and enforces all team members to follow safety guidelines and expectations
  • Understands OSHA’s “Right to Know” Policy
  • Follow 5S procedure and guidance
  • Lead, train, and implement 5S to maintain standard and cleanliness
  • Audits and enforces all team members to follow 5S standards and expectations
  • Review approve and process all documentation regarding associate’s payroll process
  • Manage, train, discipline, and evaluate team associates in designated shift
  • Manage and coordinate activities in production for designated shift in accordance with procedures and work instructions
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures including operational safety are accessible, legible, maintained, and understood by personals performing the said duties
  • Interact with other departments such as Tooling, Design, Automation, Maintenance, Purchasing, Quality, New Model Quality, Project Engineer, and Customer Service regarding customer satisfaction an efficient production opportunities
  • Interface with Quality Department to implement corrective and preventative actions for part nonconformities and customer complains
  • Ensures mold changes and start-ups adhere to schedule
  • Assigns priorities based on schedule from Planning Team and escalates possible missed orders to Management and Planning Team
  • Understand and ensures PQS and NPIF are followed
  • Respond to all Non-conforming Report (NCMR) with accuracy
  • Verify and sign-off First Piece Inspection Report (FPIR)
  • Verify and sign-off Mold Change Checklist
  • Ensure Clean Point and respond to any non-conformities
  • Ensure equipment process and product quality meet documented internal standards
  • Completion of shift reports for designated shift
  • Department start up or shut down as needed
  • Ensure coverage of vacation and absenteeism
  • Verify New Hire Training is completed for new employees
  • Ensure the IATF16949(latest revision) standard related to Manufacturing are followed
  • Kaizen project involvement
  • Participate in physical inventory as needed
  • Other assigned tasks by Production Manager and Senior Production Manager as needed
