About The Position

Performs repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to mass-produce components or to assemble those components. Follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. This role involves operating injection molding machines, visually inspecting components, completing production reports, detecting and reporting defects, and following written procedures. The operator will also trim and de-gate parts, assist in reclaiming inserts, prepare packaging, and enter production data into IQMS. The position requires minimal supervision to complete tasks according to production schedules and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Familiarity with basic machine functions is necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year factory related experience
Hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
Math skills

Responsibilities

Injection molding machine operation.
Visual inspection of molded components.
Completes required production reports that includes cycle times, number of scrap and down time.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the floor lead or department supervisor.
Follows written documentation/procedures for specific jobs.
Trims, de-gates and/or clips parts as needed.
Assists in reclaiming inserts.
Prepares packaging for following shift operator.
Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Must be familiar with the basic machine function to perform the tasks stated above.
Enters production data into IQMS.
When requested, may work on special projects and various related assignments.
May be required to work in various areas of production.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
