About The Position

The Molding Operator is responsible for operating various injection molding machines, performing quality checks, and ensuring components meet cosmetic and functional standards. This role involves removing parts from machines, cleaning and preparing them through processes like degating, sanding, flaming, and hand trimming. Additionally, the operator may perform assembly functions, package parts, maintain production records, and ensure a clean and orderly work area. Adherence to company policies, including IATF 1649 and ISO 14001, is crucial, as is the ability to halt production if non-conformities are detected. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1+ year of experience in the Automotive Industry.
  • Basic Math Skills.

Responsibilities

  • Removing parts from various injection molding machines.
  • Cleaning, inspecting, and performing cosmetic functions on component parts, including degating, sanding, flaming, and hand trimming.
  • Performing assembly functions on some component parts, and operating tape machines or case cutters.
  • Moving materials and boxes, and packaging component parts into cardboard containers, part racks, or totes.
  • Maintaining records of production and scrap figures.
  • Maintaining equipment and keeping the work area clean and orderly.
  • Following and supporting company IATF 1649 and ISO 14001 policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Having the ability to stop the process in the event of Nonconformity.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
