About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily activities of Molding Operators, including the training (TWI) of Molding personnel and performing verifications of startup inspections on the molding floor. The role involves coordinating daily activities, ensuring materials and documentation are accurate, and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
Five years of related work experience, with a minimum of two years in molding.
Ability to read and understand written instructions.
Ability to follow and give oral instructions.
Ability to learn about and remember key information about parts molded in the department.
Ability to determine when a part is or isn't in conformance and whether to run or shut down.
Good manual dexterity and the ability to perform manual tasks requiring some fine motor skills.
Demonstrated effective communication and human relation skills.
Ability to effectively coordinate the daily work activities of personnel and provide performance feedback to supervisor.
Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

One year of related leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the daily activities of Molding Operators, including training (TWI), performing verifications of startups inspections on the molding floor, and providing feedback to Operators.
Perform training responsibilities with Procedures, Startup Inspections, Molding Orientation Training, TWI Elements.
Ensure all materials, tooling, documentation and measurement equipment are available and accurate for production.
Ensure all documentation is properly completed and filed.
Ensure operational tasks for Line clearance, Start-up dimensions, and Hourly inspections are completed.
Communicate with Molding Operators, Technicians, other Leads, supervisor and management concerning work related and other matters.
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices are being complied with by confirming that all procedures and specifications are met.
Provide feedback to employees, assign work and ensure the proper and efficient completion of assignments and processes.
Provide work direction to employees in the supervisor’s absence.
Give feedback and input to the Supervisor for the employee’s performance evaluation.
Determine when molded parts are/aren't in conformance and whether to run or shut down.
Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.
