About The Position

At Amcor, Automation Technicians are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting automated equipment and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can work independently, respond quickly to equipment issues, and continuously develop their skills in the automation and controls field.

Requirements

Work independently and as part of a team.
Have mechanical and electrical/controls aptitude.
Accept responsibility for work performed.
Dependable and motivated with a good work history.
Able to participate in an apprenticeship or technical training program.
Able to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and automation diagrams.
Good reading comprehension and math skills.

Responsibilities

Perform automation-related duties with minimum supervision.
Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on robots, automated equipment, sensors, conveyors, and related control systems.
Assist employees in all departments and facilities with troubleshooting automation issues.
Keep automation work areas, robots, and peripheral equipment neat and orderly.
Demonstrate willingness to receive training and progress in the automation/controls field.
Obtain parts in times of emergency to minimize downtime.
Take control of equipment when a situation arises that has the potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of automated machinery.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
