About The Position

In this job you will be responsible for shaping molds or mold sections using such machines as: automatic molding machine, air-set sand mixer, rota-lift and jolt-squeeze molding machines. As a Molder you will: Select and assemble appropriate flask equipment and patterns. Position patterns in flasks, fills flasks with sand, ramming the sand around the pattern with tools, hands and use of molding machines. Prepare molds for drawing of patterns and repairing damage to mold impressions in sand as may be necessary. Select and sets in position appropriate cores and/or chills. Vents molds as necessary. Assemble cope and drag sections of mold and places mold on pouring conveyor Report production quantities and times for each work order. Report worn pattern equipment to supervisors

Requirements

Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
Ideally has experience in a foundry or manufacturing
Math, computer, and communication skills are necessary
Is able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English
