About The Position

This role is responsible for inspecting, cutting, trimming, and packing pipe fittings produced by injection molding machines. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills and counting ability required.
  • Must be able to take complex and diverse information or situations which have several probable correct paths and compile information in a manner that allows problems to be solved in a reasonable fashion.
  • Must be able to cut and trim parts for long periods of time while standing for extended periods of time.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds on occasion (some stations may require lifting up to 50 pounds).

  • Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, cut, trim, and pack pipe fittings produced by injection molding machines.
  • Knowledge and recognition of plastic fittings by name, shape, and dimension.
  • Achieve 100% of targeted output daily.
  • Complete production line paperwork accurately and in real time.
  • Assure quality of work through proper labeling and verification of molded fittings and packaging.
  • Set-up and verification of weight scales.
  • Detect, segregate, and isolate non-conforming quality defects and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Identify various types of quality defects based on appearance, fit, form, and function.
  • Minimize downtime by escalating machine-related problems to the Mold Technician.
  • Assist with the changeover process, ensuring proper line clearance and efficient start-up.
  • Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the assigned work area to the highest standards (5S).
  • Perform 5S Audit for each work area assigned on a daily basis.
  • Train new Injection Molding personnel on work station setup, part identification, quality defect identification, cutting techniques, and workspace maintenance.
  • Keep correct counts as cartons/cases are filled.
  • Perform functions with minimum supervision.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision or management.
