Requirements

  • 5+ years if experience
  • Manual dexterity commensurate to quickly unload and reload the parts from press
  • Stand for at least 8 hours at a time
  • Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
  • Eyesight commensurate to visually inspect parts
  • Ability to work with high temperature (120F) equipment and high machinery noise level using proper PPE.
  • Sets up, adjusts and operates machinery such as oven, balancing machine, dake press, manual and power operated hand tools as required.

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Load raw material into press in a prescribed manner paying attention to distribution of material for an even flow until mold cavities are filled
  • Responsible for the processes in the Operations chain, including safety, quality, production and material handling.
  • Monitor press operation to make certain lubrication, temperature, tonnage and cycle times meet operating specifications for each product.
  • Maintain a clean organized work area disposing of waste and trash to assigned areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area paying attention to oil, cured scrap, water and other foreign matter that could contaminate product before or after curing
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Remove trim and inspect molded parts for defects
  • Must be available to work overtime when required
  • Other duties as required by supervisor
