About The Position

Continental is hiring a Mold Venting Technician to maintain and open mold vents. The role includes inspecting molds, presses, and work areas for hazards; using hand and power tools; setting up and inspecting a dry ice machine as needed; and operating a forklift to transport equipment as needed. Heavy work includes carrying items up to 50 pounds and lifting up to 100 pounds. Comprehensive training is provided. The position is in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Most work is performed in a high-heat environment. Safety procedures and guidelines must always be followed, including wearing hearing protection and steel-toe shoes. New hires will likely be assigned a shift that includes overnight hours and weekends. No relocation assistance is offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to perform heavy work, including carrying up to 50 pounds and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery.
